All Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pay a bill for an address where I no longer live?
You must have an active water account for an address in order to make an online payment. To pay the balance on a closed account, please contact your local Customer Center.
How do I set up AutoPay?
After logging in, click on “Payment Options” in the left-hand column or on the “AutoPay” link on the Account Summary page.
For more information, see the Paperless Billing and Autopay video.
How do I see my usage for a specific month?
Log into the customer portal. From the Water Usage tab, select Usage History and view the monthly billing usage for each month, going back two years.
How is my average daily usage calculated?
Before calculating the average daily usage for a given month, we calculate each day’s average usage by dividing the usage for the billing period including that day by the number of days in the billing period. The average daily use for a given month is then calculated by adding the individual daily averages and dividing by the number of days in the month.
How can I export my usage data?
Log into the customer portal. On several pages in your profile there is an “Export” button you can click to save your data as a CSV file. CSV files can be read by spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Excel.
Am I required to take the savings actions described on the website?
The water efficiency actions listed in the customer portal are suggestions. By following the steps outlined in your profile, you can help reduce your water use and preserve our precious natural resource.
How can I correct my name on my account?
If your name is misspelled on your account or your name has changed and needs to be updated, please either send a request using the Contact Us form or call your local Customer Center.
How do I sign up for paperless bills (e-Billing)?
Customers who are enrolled in e-Billing do not receive statements in the mail. (Customers can make online payments whether or not they are enrolled in e-Billing).
If you would like to enroll in e-Billing, log into the website and click “Account Maintenance” in the left-hand column. On the sub menu that appears, click “Manage e-Bill.” On the e-Bill page, change your preference to “Yes, stop sending me paper bills.”
