General Information

Cal Water's Chico District was formed in 1926 with the purchase of the Chico Water Supply Company, Chico-Vecino Water Company, and the C.C. White Water Company. We began serving Hamilton City in 1962 and the Durham area in 2001. Our company-wide water quality assurance program includes vigilant monitoring throughout our systems and testing at our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Chico

To meet the needs of our Chico customers, we utilize more than 65 wells to pump an average of 27 million gallons of groundwater per day, which is delivered through 355 miles of pipeline, seven storage tanks, and six booster pumps. Our company-wide water quality assurance program includes vigilant monitoring throughout our systems and testing at our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Durham

Cal Water has provided high-quality water utility services in the Durham area since 2001. We utilize three wells to meet the needs of our customers. Our company-wide water quality assurance program includes vigilant monitoring throughout our systems and testing at our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Hamilton City

Cal Water has provided high-quality water utility services in the Hamilton City area since 1962. To meet the needs of our Hamilton City customers, we utilize three wells to pump an average of 0.56 million gallons of groundwater per day, which is delivered through 7.7 miles of pipeline. Our company-wide water quality assurance program includes vigilant monitoring throughout our systems and testing at our state-of-the-art laboratory.
