Los Altos: Pipeline maintenance

Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) will be performing maintenance on one of their transmission pipelines from November 2 through January 15, 2010. As a result, the California Water Service Company will be providing water service to customers that reside in the communities of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale using company-owned wells. Customers may experience reduced pressure, increased hardness, and a possible change in taste during this time period. We will continue to monitor the water quality to ensure that it meets all state and federal standards. Normal service will be restored at the conclusion of the SCVWD work.
